The YIP Orientation Session was held on January 6, 2025, at LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod, and was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Vishakh K, District Coordinator of K-DISC, who guided final and pre-final year students on submitting innovative ideas through the platform. The session began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Vinod George, Dean (Student Affairs), followed by the presidential address by respected principal Prof.(Dr.) Mohammad Sekoor T who emphasized the institution’s role in fostering innovation. Dr. Praveen Kumar Kodoth, Dean (Academics), delivered the felicitation address, encouraging students to submit creative ideas, particularly in their final year projects, to enhance innovation and bring pride to the institution. With 143 ideas submitted in the previous year and four teams winning at the district level in YIP 6.0, the session also marked the first step towards forming the YIP Club, motivating students to contribute actively to the platform.
