Activities of of R & D Cell during 2025-26

The Research and Development Cell would provide an environment wherein researchers, through knowledge and skills, good governance, and extensive financial support, would create and disseminate knowledge, innovate, and develop technology for societal and industrial needs.

The various activities of the Research and Development Cell of the college during the academic year 25-26 are as follows:

The Research and Development Cell has taken a major role in Signing MOUs with the following major training/ industrial institutions in Kerala

• NIELIT
• KELTRON

A Research and Enhanced Education Forum were constituted under the Research and Development Cell to impart quality education to students in cutting edge and latest Technologies

The List of programs conducted by of Research and Enhanced Education Forum are listed below.
1. 4-Day workshop on ROBOTICS and IOT
2. 5-Day course on PYTHON PROGRAMMING
3. 4 -Day course on Artificial Intelligence
4. The Research and Development Cell in association with Department of Electronics and Communication Conducted an FDP on Exploring the Opportunities of AI in VLSI systems from 2nd to 7th December 2025
5. The Research and Development Cell in its meeting convened by the Principal on 23/07/25 decided to commence satellite batches for final year student projects involving lower semester students.
6. The Research and Development Cell has conducted Microproject exhibition 2026 during February 2026 to develop an ambience of building projects and prototypes among students of lower semesters.
7. The Research and Development Cell has conducted LBSCEK project EXPO 2026 during March 2026 to encourage the final year students in developing quality projects and prototypes.
8. The Research and Development Cell has taken initiative to ensure all the project works of various B.Tech streams have been presented in international conferences or published in peer reviewed journals.
9. The LBS College of Engineering is now a place of Research under KTU. The Research and Development Cell has taken initiative in filing and applying for place of Research under KTU
10. The Research and Development Cell has promoted the research ambience in the college. More number of research scholars are doing Ph. D in various departments
11. The Research and Development Cell has a key role in organizing the district level ROBOTIC FEST at ASAP lab in Kasaragod on 4th April 2026
12. The Research and Development Cell has co-ordinated the activities of various Tech, clubs and professional bodies of the college.
13. The Microsoft Student Ambassador club was selected as the Best performing club and has been awarded the Outstanding club award
14. The Research and Development Cell has always given information about announcements by various funding agencies like DST, DAE, DRDO, ISRO, CSIR, AICTE, UGC and University, etc to staff and students
