Laboratories
Six well-equipped laboratories and additional facilities are available at the CSE Department to give students sufficient hands-on experience and to fulfil UG and PG curriculum requirements. Each laboratory has a trained technical team that is knowledgeable about the software specific to that facility. To connect the theoretical sessions with the actual trials, the experiments are arranged logically. For the purpose of helping students comprehend the ideas behind their lab investigations, the fundamentals associated with each lab course are appropriately presented as charts. For the students to complete their little and large project work, a project/research laboratory has been built up. Adequate internet access is available in every lab, and wireless networking for teachers and students is provided by Wi-Fi routers placed on every level.

LOGICS
LBSCEK has developed a new automation software product in collaboration with the Information Technology wing of our parent organization LBS Centre for Science and Technology. Two of our Departments (Computer Science Engineering ,Electronics& Communication Engineering ) actively participated in the development of this software product.
After the first phase of the product was completed, the product was named LOGICS (LBS Official & General Information Coordination System). This product was then further expanded by adding several add-on modules. This software is currently being used in all the Engineering Colleges, Degree College, Head Office/Regional/ Sub Centres under LBSCST across Kerala. Various services like Academic Activity Management, Admission Management, Payroll Management, Biometric Punching & Attendance Management etc. are now included as part of this product. In addition to this, this product was marketed to several other Government / Semi Government Institutions like Kerala State Library Council for their office automation. Dr. Sreejith, an Assistant Professor, was a member of the development team alongside Dr. Manoj Kumar G, who is currently leading the project.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragod, successfully organized an AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) Sponsored Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Machine Learning Engineering for Production” from 8th Jan. 2024 to 13th Jan. 2024. The response to this FDP was exceptional, with 50 participants from various institutes across different states of India registering for the program. This significant turnout reflects the widespread interest and recognition of the program’s relevance in the field of engineering. The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and networking among educators and professionals in the domain. Dr. Abdul Rahiman M, Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology inaugurated the FDP.
